Sands

Washed Sydney sand is a fine, sharp sand used for tiling, rendering, sand pits and concreting. Sometimes referred to as tiling sand or rendering sand or sharp sand or Botany sand or Kurnell sand. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

This is the perfect sand for sandpits and sandboxes, soft and clean for safe, fun play.

Yellow Brickies Sand is a great sand for general bricklaying and blocklaying. Also used as a base under above ground pools. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

White Brickies Sand, also called Maroota Sand, mixes with off-white and pure-white cements to create light-coloured (off white) mortar mixes. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Natural River Sand is a coarse sand used as a base when compaction is required, such as under pavers and retaining walls. Natural River Sand is also used as a propagation mix for orchids. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags. . Manufactured River Sand and Stabilised River Sand are also available.

Washed Newcastle Sand is a fine, sharp sand used for cement rendering. Cement renderers usually prefer Newcastle Sand over Sydney Sand as it is slightly finer and gives a smoother finish to render. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Paving Sand is the sand used underneath pavers to keep them level. Paving Sand is a free draining course sand that has a very small wash-away factor. Typically, 30mm of paving sand is applied above the road base before pavers are laid. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

ACI kiln dried sand is used to maintain synthetic grass in top condition. It is an infill dried sand for all types of synthetic grass, synthetic lawns and astroturf. Kiln dried sand is also used as foundry sand and as a fine aggregate in mortar and concrete

ACI kiln dried sand is sometimes also referred to as silica sand or Granusil. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Our filling sand is an economical NSWDECC-compliant sand for use as backfill material under slab or around pipes. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags. Stabilised filling sand is also available.

Roadbase Aggregate Virgin is a compactable product, used to stabilise surfaces, such as driveways and under paving. Can be used around drains and pipes or as a base before concrete is poured. Can also be used for backfill around walls. Roadbase is also available as a recycled product (see below). Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags. Stabilised versions are also available to improve compaction and longevity.

Roadbase Recycled DGB20 is a RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) 3051-certified roadbase, combining crushed brick and concrete to achieve high rates of compaction and form a stable base under roads. Also commonly used under pavers or on building sites to make sure trucks do not track clay or dirt onto roads. Please note this is a recycled product. While every care is taken to provide consistency in colour, size and shape, these will vary from time to time. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags. Stabilised versions are also available to improve compaction and longevity.

Crusher dust is a compactable, economical product used for stabilizing surfaces. A by-product of concrete recycling, it compacts to form a very strong surface. It can be used to form a foundation beneath surfaces where compaction is required, such as under concrete slabs. Please note this is a recycled product.
