Blue Metal and Aggregates

Blue metal aggregate is available in a range of sizes from dust, 5-7mm, 10mm, 14mm, 20mm, 63mm rail ballast and large gabion sizes (see below). Commonly used in concreting or drainage, it’s becoming popular for use in gardens. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Gabion Blue Metal comes in two sizes, 75-150mm and 90-250mm and is increasingly popular in gardens and landscaping, both on its own or in gabion baskets/rock cages. The charcoal colour contrasts well with greenery in the garden. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Decomposed granite in a soft, warm gold colour. Compactable and ideal for creating paths and driveways. Stabilised mixes are also available to create a longer-lasting hard surface. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Crushed quartz in ivory white is a stunning white aggregate with multiple uses, both in construction and in decorative gardens. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.

Crushed tile is a recycled product, made out of crushed terracotta tiles. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags. Also available in a smaller size, ‘dust 7mm minus’, which is often used for paths or driveways for heritage buildings.

Scoria 10mm is a volcanic lightweight aggregate extensively used in landscaping. Colours vary from grey to brown/claret. Currently bagged in 20kg small bags and also in 1000kg bulk bags.
